Affordable Collection Auctioned At Bicester
Jaguar Land Rover Classic (JLRC) isselling off the surplus cars it bought fromthe famous James Hull Collection in 2014. The 100 lots, all listed at no reserve, will be sold from Brightwells’ Bicester Heritage centre on Wednesday, March 21.
A trio of obscure shooting brakes – a unique four-wheel-drive Reliant Scimitar GTE, an FLM Panelcraft Rover P6 3500 ‘Estoura’ and a Vauxhall Velox converted by Martin Walter – headline a mixture of 100 low mileage British and European cars, including a rare MG Maestro Turbo (one of 505 built), a Vauxhall Chevette 2300 HS and a pair of Citroen CX Familiales.
The rest of the cache, which includes pedal cars, boats, model aeroplanes and Dinky toys, was originally purchased in its entirety by JLRC so it could add Dr Hull’s extensive garage of Jaguars to its fleet.
