JUE 477, the first production Land-Rover in an enduring series that lasted 69 years, briefly went on show at the RAC Club on London’s Pall Mall in February – 20 years after it was hidden from view.
Chassis number 860001 was ‘dispatched’ in July 1948 before being signed over to a member of the Land-Rover development team. The vehicle remained within the Solihull site until it was finally registered for road use in 1950.
