Traversee Honours Deco Paris
Classic & Sports Car|March 2018

More than 750 classics – ranging from bicycles to supercars and tractors – converged on the east side of Paris for the 18th winter ‘crossing’ on 7 January.

Traversee Honours Deco Paris

La Traversée, organised by Vincennes en Anciennes – the country’s biggest multimarque club – is open to any vehicle of at least 30 years old. Of 602 cars taking part, the earliest was Olivier Simonin’s glorious 1919 Rochet-Schneider.

The route took in the capital’s finest Art Déco landmarks, including the Palais de Chaillot at the Trocadéro and nearby Palais de Tokyo. A delightful pair of Rosengarts – Jean-Marc Le Feur’s 1938 LR 4 N2 coupé and Marc Cosson’s 1933 Supertraction LR 500 – drew lots of attention as they convoyed past the evocative architecture.
