BRIDGESTONE says: The H50 has superior tread life and a perfect combination of performance and grip on wet and dry surfaces. They promise relaxed cruising, long life, smooth handling and superior comfort as key H50 features. Which is what you would expect the PR blurb to say. They also claim the handling capabilities allow heavyweight bikes to turn smoothly at both low and high speeds, minimising fall-in characteristics in turns.
By reducing the transmission of road shock they provide a comfortable ride that helps prevent fatigue, particularly over long distances.
They recommend the H50 for riders of American V-twins who enjoy long-distance touring and high-speed cruising.
By optimising rigidity distribution (vertical spring rate), the front tyre absorbs energy inputs from the road while maintaining rigidity and reducing vibration through the handlebars.
Using the Ultimate Eye system, (Ed: which sounds a bit like a James Bond movie) the contact patch was optimised for shape and structure. Subsequently, the H50 has a larger rear crown profile to optimise high stability at any lean angle.
The profile is suited to heavy machines that may not turn-in quickly, so control becomes easier and more enjoyable for the rider.
HEAVY DUTY says:
We fitted the Bridgestone H50 to two different bikes and we’re impressed with the results and their performance.
