A high performance Dyna built on a low buck budget.
Brock Davidson likes to go fast. Stupid Fast. It’s his mantra and his motto and it is printed on his company promotional merch. How fast? Well, in May 2000, he became the first person ever to make a seven second quarter mile pass, which he did on a 1997 Suzuki Bandit 1200 that he had expanded to 1570cc and helped along with a little nitrous oxide. That is fast by any standard.
Over some years Brock set many other records and won numerous drag races and then, fuelled by his love for racing motorcycles, he founded Brock's Performamce, a world-respected leader in the innovation and development of performance components.
But like many of us as he got a little older he found his riding mates slowing down with some of them swapping high-performance sport bikes for Harley-Davidsons. And they began coming to him saying that they still enjoyed riding fast, so what could he do with their V-twins to give them more punch?
So Brock’s Performance began doing just that. But recently a concept dawned in Brock’s fertile brain, an idea about making Harley-Davidsons not just more attractive, but way more affordable, especially to Millenials, as they are the future of both the brand and maybe even motorcycling itself.
So he set out a plan to show you could have a performance Harley that would fit within a limited budget. Well, the cost of this build came in at USD$10,500 (about $15K Aussie) including the cost of purchasing the bike. And while at first glance this might look to be no more than a tidy Dyna make no mistake. This is a high performance ride from front to back.
