Is the new Bentley Continental GT, a better option than a supercar?
Supercars are obviously super fast, low slung, sexy looking, sporty sounding and have performance and handling similiar to race cars. More importantly, they are great fun, and being street legal, can be driven on regular roads. But they are also cramped and difficult to get into and out of, and as they ride hard and are demanding to drive, they can be tiring. Luggage space is nearly nonexistent, and most lack creature comforts and are not the most practical machines for everyday use or long journeys.
A ‘Grand Tourer or ‘Gran Turismo’ for the Italians, is a high performance car too. But a lot more comfortable, spacious and luxurious and it has the long legs to easily undertake lengthy continental tours or voyages. Ever since the world’s first supercar was made, and the early GT’s also emerged on the scene, the question has been, ‘Which is better”. By and large the answer is simple- whichever is most suitable for your lifestyle and requirements. Supercars offer pure performance along with oodles of sex appeal and glamour. They also provide adrenaline raising fun. GT’s are fast too, but also ensure you travel in luxurious style and comfort. In most cases people know which of the two is right for them and rarely is there a conflict in choice. Each one has its own place and identity and its very own set of followers and fans.
