After passing my Class 2 I worked a few multi-drop pallet delivery jobs so I thought what a challenge it would be in an artic, plus I now had a Moffett and not a pallet truck.
So Tuesday morning I set off for Lymm where Wayne was ready to swap the load over to my trailer. After 45 minutes we were ready for the off. I’ve just completed three weeks doing between 11-15 drops each day and won’t bore you with every single delivery. I don’t think there’s enough pages in the magazine! But there are a few drops worthy of mention; one for an old lady who reminded me of my grandma (god rest her soul) whose son had ordered four tonne bags of topsoil for her front garden. She started to worry as she really wanted to start gardening, but couldn’t dig the soil out of the bags. So I lifted the bags over and split the bottom of the bags so the soil fell out, all she had to do was rake it.
It’s not a big thing but delivering bags everyday can be tiring! Most people don’t really care as long as the bag is delivered, so when you can do something nice it definitely puts a smile on your face!
