Glorious late October sunshine bathes Chippenham Pit Stop on a Monday afternoon. I’ve just pulled in for the night with the new S-Way and it’s already attracting a fair amount of attention. I grab my shower bag, head in to pay for parking, order dinner and when I arrive back at the truck 20 minutes later the guy next to me in a Jenkinson’s Scania says, “That thing’s the star of the show here tonight, there’s been loads of people looking at it and taking photos.” He ponders for a moment and adds, “I’ve never understood the stick Iveco gets to be honest, it looks great.”

There’s a lot of curiosity about the S-Way. Iveco has left a box of brochures in the truck and I end up handing out quite a few over the course of the week. The fact is, it’s a bit confusing for some folk. Because this is a sharp looking truck and clearly at odds with the postings of internet super truckers.
