Exotics Racing

We visit Exotics Racing in Las Vegas to drive the Corvette Z06 and Acura SX.

WHILE we have gotten to drive our fair share of supercars, one cannot simply arrange for driving all of the most iconic ones. There are some that are ever so elusive… So, how do you get a chance to get behind the wheels of, say, a Porsche 991 GT3 or a Gallardo or an honest-to-god American animal like the Corvette? We found the answer in the USA some time ago… Exotics Racing.

Exotics Racing is a Racing School and driving experience centre in the United States. They have one of the world’s largest fleet of exotic cars and they allow the customers to drive the cars of their dreams. That too, allowing them to unleash all the horses in the hood that are screaming at the top of their lungs in a closed and safe environment. Even if one owns a supercar, in all probability they won’t be able to drive or rather thrash it around like this. If one wants the experience of driving a supercar around the track and have boatloads of fun, there aren’t many places better than this. The facility is present in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Spring Mountain.

We have been to the USA quite a few times and in the past, we got to experience the German troublemaker, Porsche 991 GT3 and the Italian bull, the Gallardo LP550-2. Predictably, we visited the facility again during the xBhp PowerTour 2019 and this time around, we got our hands on a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and… an Acura NSX (you don’t get your hands on many of those!)

It was in the 1950s, 1953 to be precise when a name was given to something that was born to change how American sports cars were perceived. Named after a small manoeuvrable warship, The Chevrolet Corvette or Vette, as it is popularly known, is one of the most popular cars in history and probably that is why it is also known as America’s Sports Car.
