ROLLS-ROYCE BOAT TAIL

Coach-built by ROLLS-ROYCE, BOAT TAIL is one of its three rare nautical-inspired custom-built motor cars. The design for Boat Tail has been conceptualised by a client, whose love for the nautical theme and the colour blue has resulted in the creation of this oceanic blue car. The Boat Tail is 5.8 m long with a wraparound windscreen that is reminiscent of motor launches. The Boat Tail's design is a subtle nod to J-class yachts and a 1932 Rolls-Royce Boat Tail owned by the clients. Caleidolegno, an open-pore veneer has been used on the exterior with linear wood grain and brushed stainless steel pinstripe inlays, another reference to the wooden body of yachts.
