It wasn’t long ago that materials like gypsum and POP were widely used across various construction and interior projects. But with their numerous shortcomings, these old-fashioned materials are now being set aside to pave the way for new-age innovations, and leading this sector is Knauf Ceiling Solutions (KCS). The brand’s product portfolio offers some of the most state-of-art solutions for the architectural and design fraternity and is being heralded as the ‘next big trend’ in the Indian construction industry.
Knauf Ceiling Solution is the new division of Knauf Globally, which is a prodigious conglomerate with 220 manufacturing plants in 86 countries across the globe.
With the acquisition of Armstrong World Industries, Knauf Group made its entry into the Indian subcontinent – a market with vast geography.
The merger of Knauf AMF and Armstrong World Industries led to the unification of the two brands’ complete product portfolio, which currently comprises one of the largest ranges of laminated products and ceiling solutions in the industry today.
Given that Knauf’s manufacturing plants have a global footprint, this made it feasible for the company to source best of the materials and technological know-how from across the world. This has enabled the infusion of cutting-edge properties and features into their product line – such as superior sound absorption, durability, higher light reflectance, hygienic surfaces, fire resistance, higher humidity resistance, lower VOC, flexibility for customisation, etc. With all these properties built into their staggering range of products, KCS is shifting the interior landscape of workplaces and hospitals by making them safer and more protected.
