If you are up for sunrise yoga, rejuvenate ahead of your workout with freshsqueezed juices from newcomer Healthy Habits Superfood Cafe. The cafe opened just a few months ago by Joao Ricardo Areias who saw a need for great tasting, diet-wise dining, and the cafe’s menu caters to keto, paleo, vegan, vegetarian and low-cal eating plans. Their cold-pressed juices come in five flavours. Try the Spicy Watermelon with lime, beets, green apple and jalapeño to boost your digestive system and start the day with a lift.
Green cocktails are also a great way to combat the humid weather, says Catarina Rodrigues, spa director of Grand Coloane Hotel.
“You should eat foods that help remove moisture from the body, such as cruciferous vegetables, romaine lettuce, sprouts, acidic fruits and yoghurt. Avoid sweet and heavy starches, cows milk, fried or oily foods and salt in excess.”
9 AM
Situated in Taipa old town and within reach of the sprawling Venetian casino, the cosy ambience at Common Table is just as welcome as the good coffee. Breakfast choices are imaginative and well-thought out. Eggs benedict comes highly rated but if you want to avoid the Hollandaise sauce try instead the smoked salmon with avocado sauce and quail egg on toast.
