After ending their romance, pals say Cheryl is keen to forge a closer friendship with ex Liam Payne in their son’s best interests
They insisted they still had “so much love for each other” when they announced their shock split in June, after two years together. However, recent reports have appeared to paint a different picture. If those reports are to be believed, it appears Cheryl and Liam Payne’s split hasn’t been quite so amicable, with insiders claiming last month that X Factor producers were forced to ensure they performed their new singles on separate shows to avoid running into each other backstage, as well as claims they’ve clashed over raising their 18-month-old son, Bear.
Last week, it was revealed the pair were set to play the Jingle Bell Ball in December – with event organisers reportedly also having to ensure the famous exes won’t cross paths.
TENSION
But days later, amid rumours of tension between the pair, Liam, 25, publicly congratulated Cheryl on her new music video – and insiders say she hopes to build a civil relationship with him for the sake of their son.
