INTRODUCING THEIR ‘COOL DUDE’ FREY KARA TOINTON AND FIANCE MARIUS FALL IN LOVE WITH FAMILY LIFE AS THEY CELEBRAT CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY
It is only a few weeks since the arrival of her adorable baby boy Frey and, like many new mums, stage and screen star Kara Tointon’s emotions are close to the surface.
“Yes, there were lots of tears – when they lifted him to us and we heard him cry, we were both in bits. Very Niagara Falls at that point,” the 35-year old Mr Self ridge and The Halcyon actress, with tears in her eyes once more, tells hello! about the moment she and Marius Jensen greeted their son.
“We will never forget that, it was very special,” adds her Norwegian-born fiancé, cradling their tiny new cherub.
“You also see your partner in a new light,” continues Kara. “When you think you can’t get any closer, you’re introduced to an even deeper love, entwined in sharing this new life together. And Marius is a total natural, especially when it comes to calming this little one.” Not that Frey needs much soothing – he is the model baby for his debut photoshoot.
“He’s a pretty cool dude, very chille ed,” adds the 2010 Strictly Come Dancing winner, welcoming us to the country cottage in Sussex the family are renting for the early months of parent hood, while they split time between here and their London apartment near Marius’s chiropractic clinic.
“We love our life in the city but we have fallen in love with it here,” says Kara. “It’s incredibly beautiful and relaxing. “I want to enjoy the first months of motherhood and take some time out from work and away from all the usual rushing around I do in London. We are outdoorsy types so all the country walks and fresh air are doing us the world of good.”
