Considering Mila Kunis has just turned 33, 20 years of work is pretty impressive. But she tells us it's her husband, not her career, that really makes her happy now....
It’s been a while since Mila Kunis appeared on our screens. Following a movie career that saw her take on leading roles in the Oscar-nominated Black Swan and the hilarious Ted, she’s been taking more time off between flicks to be a mum – something the 33-year-old’s pretty damn proud of. And why not?
After first meeting Ashton Kutcher, 38, on set of That ’70s Show when she was just 14, the pair reunited romantically in 2012 and married a year ago in a quiet, intimate ceremony with family and friends in California. Seriously, these guys are the least showbiz couple ever.
Mila now has a two-year-old daughter Wyatt (who’s super-cute, FYI. Ashton’s the one to follow on Twitter for baby updates) and is pregnant with their second child. She’s also about to star in Bad Moms, a movie about, well, mums trying to do everything, failing and embracing it – we can get on board with that. Funny, unafraid and unflinching, Mila Kunis doesn’t hold back…
Hi Mila! Your Bad Moms character Amy starts off as a really stressed-out mum. Do you ever feel like her?
I only have one little human so it’s not too bad. I mean, I’m very lucky. And I do have Ashton, who’s an amazing husband. My parents also live in the same town that I do. So I’m very lucky when it comes to all those things. Wyatt’s rambunctious, but she’s not there yet where she’s two and a half, and I’m like: ‘Holy shit, there’s this demon baby coming out!’ We haven’t quite hit the demon stage yet.
Did you take inspiration from any of your celeb mum friends?
My friends have always been very open about their horrible days. I think we all have. So I don’t think this movie necessarily prompted my friends to be like: ‘Oh wait, me too!’
