Rockelle 'I've Always Had A Strong Work Ethic'

She’s a former popstar turned TV and radio presenter, beauty entrepreneur and model, oh, and she’s just been announced as an ambassador for women’s charity mothers2mothers. It’s a wonder that 29-year-old Rochelle Humes even has the time to speak to us today.

The former Saturdays singer is actually feeling fresh which, again, is incredible, considering it was her daughter Valentina Raine’s christening and first birthday yesterday. This is pretty typical of Rochelle – she’s not keen on doing things by half.

‘A lot of my and Marvin’s family were there,’ she reveals, referencing her star husband of six years, former JLS-er Marvin, 32, with whom she also has four-year-old daughter Alaia-Mai. It’s something of a #couplegoals scenario, with regular outpourings of love for one another on social media.

Our chat with Rochelle has already been delayed twice by poor weather, but she’s in good spirits, mainly because she’s not long back from Morocco, where she was shooting the latest spring campaign for New Look, modelling clothes that she ‘absolutely loves’.

‘I love working with high street clothes that my fans can actually afford,’ she tells us. But while she adores fashion, performing has been her main love and we can’t help but wonder if the recent news of a potential Spice Girls reunion might inspire The Saturdays to reform, too? Let’s find out, shall we?

Hi Rochelle, congrats on the range!

Thank you. If you’d told 14-year-old Rochelle that the shop where she spends her pocket money is now a place that has her photos in store, she would be shocked. This is a massive deal for me.

Do you still love the high street?
