A BREAKTHROUGH pill developed by Pfizer as a possible one-dose cure for COVID-19 may be available by the end of this year, said company CEO Albert Bourla.
The rampaging disease has held the world hostage in the last 14 months and taken the lives of nearly 600,000 Americans and nearly 3 million people worldwide.
“Had this drug been available earlier, it could have saved countless lives!” said New York internist Dr. Stuart Fischer.
The medication, called PF-07321332, aims to prevent the virus from spreading by blocking an enzyme that allows the bug to multiply in the nose, throat and lungs, the manufacturer claimed.
