Reality star Maura Higgins isn’t letting the January blues get her down and appears to be on cloud nine when we catch up with her.
As well as landing a “dream” career opportunity by launching her own tanning range with luxury Irish brand Bellamianta, there is also someone special who is putting a smile on the 30-year-old’s face.
Back in November, Maura confirmed she was dating her Love Island co-star and bestie Chris Taylor, also 30, on Instagram after months of rumours. And as she chats with us over Zoom, it sounds like the pair are already super smitten.
“Definitely, I would say he’s The One,” she tells us. “Obviously it’s very early days but we’re both very happy and we have a lot of fun together.”
Here, Maura spills on her new relationship, overdoing it with exercise, and why she’s changed her mind about starting a family since getting together with Chris…
We have to say, Maura, you and Chris seem really loved-up! How did things progress from a friendship to a relationship?
It happened so quickly. The both of us still talk about it now. We say to each other, “How has this happened?” We still don’t even really know how it happened.
I think we just got on very well, and friendship is one of the most important things in a relationship. If you can get on with somebody and have a laugh with them every single day, then it’s easy.
Do you think he’s The One?
Definitely. We never argue, we just click really. I feel like he’s a male version of me!
It’s lovely to hear how happy you are! Have you spoken about marriage and babies?
