‘I'm No Bridezilla But My Wedding Will Be Super Glam'

With her flaming red hair and fiery personality, Holly Hagan was a standout Geordie Shore original. But nine years on, the 28-year-old tells us she no longer recognises the person she was back then.

As well as being mentally stronger and more accepting of her body, Holly has finally found love with footballer Jacob Blyth, also 28.

She excitedly tells us about their plans to tie the knot in Ibiza next year – pandemic permitting – and says her GS pals Sophie Kasaei, Charlotte Crosby and Marnie Simpson will be invited.

“We’ve all stuck by each other and been so close,” she tells us. “Sophie and Charlotte are my bridesmaids and it’s really nice. We do have one of those genuine bonds from TV that isn’t fake.”

Here, Holly reveals she isn’t a bridezilla, why Jacob is the one for her and how she’s come a long way from those early reality TV days…

Hi Holly. How is your wedding planning going?

As soon as the lockdown was lifted we were like, “Right, we need to get to Ibiza and see these venues.” Otherwise we would have had to push it back to 2022 and we really didn’t want to do that. Luckily, the one we liked is available – it was fate! Thankfully, it’s going ahead next year. I’ve got an amazing wedding planner in Ibiza and she’s sorting everything. It’s going to be the best week of our lives.

Have you turned into a bridezilla?

I wouldn’t say a bridezilla, but there are a lot of ideas I want that cost a lot of money. I’m in that mindset of you only get married once and if we’re going to do it we might as well go big. The invitations and floral arrangements are super glam.
