When it comes to achieving body goals, fitness professional Chloe Madeley knows a thing or two.
Since starting out in the industry almost 10 years ago, the qualified personal trainer and nutritionist has launched a podcast called The Bodcast, written three workout books and spends her days training clients online – and hanging out with her adorable puppy Mr Bert.
Now the 33-year-old has released her first recipe book, Eating For Results, which offers people a helping hand with nutrition.
And Chloe, whose parents are This Morning legends Richard and Judy, admits being married to former England rugby star James Haskell plays a part in keeping her on track too. During the first lockdown, the pair started a podcast, Couples In Quarantine, and now Chloe tells new they’d love to have their own TV show.
Here, Chloe shares her top tips, reveals how her physical goals have changed over time and opens up about going too far with her fitness…
Hi Chloe! Do you think what you eat is as important as keeping fit?
Yes, I think the two things are intrinsically linked. It’s funny now how people are pretending that people shouldn’t want to look in shape. But there is such a thing as going too far and I know, I’ve done it. I’ve had to take afternoon naps during a photoshoot and I’ve experienced the pressure of being in the industry I’m in and feeling like I have to look in shape. I never want to get down to 12% body fat again, but I’m really happy I did it because I proved to myself what my body can do. I was just as happy then as I am now, but my goals have changed. The amount of pressure I feel to look good has been hugely alleviated in recent times.
