After 25 years on Neighbours, actress Jackie Woodburne is still getting the juicy storylines

Over the last two and a half decades, Susan Kennedy has been a mainstay on Ramsay Street, a beloved matriarchal figure whose marriage to Dr Karl has been at the forefront of some of Neighbours’ most iconic storylines. But this year’s shocking episodes, which saw Sue kidnapped and held hostage by villain Finn, marked a new low for the kindly headmistress, who now faces further struggles upon her return to Erinsborough High.

We called up Jackie Woodburne, who’s played Susan since 1994, to find out what’s in store for our stressed heroine and why she and Alan Fletcher, who plays Karl, have such an unbreakable bond…
