‘The fact I enjoy being peed and pooped on shows how much my life has changed'

Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn talks about son Christian’s dramatic arrival just 22 minutes after she got to hospital, his designer wardrobe and why she’s ignoring the mummy shamers

In the weeks before welcoming their first child, most women are at home nesting and putting their feet up – but Christine Quinn isn’t your average mum. Just 48 hours before she gave birth, the Selling Sunset star was on the red carpet with husband Christian Richard for the MTV Movie and TV Awards in their home city of Los Angeles.

“I was dilated on the red carpet,” the 32-year-old tells us during our Zoom chat. “It’s crazy to think about.”

Christine was two weeks early and didn’t realise she was in labour at the time. But after her waters broke two days later, she and retired tech entrepreneur Christian, 41, had to make the mad dash to hospital. And of course, fashionista Christine was never going to travel in any old thing, opting to go in a Lamborghini.

What happened next was a “scary” experience after the Oppenheim Group real estate agent had to have an emergency C-section.

But thankfully, Christian Georges Dumontet arrived safely at 4:22pm on 15 May, weighing 6lb 14oz – just 22 minutes after his parents arrived at the hospital!
