Danielle Lloyd has made no secret of her hopes for a little girl to add to her brood of four boys. So with the due date of her baby daughter nearing, it’s no wonder she wanted to celebrate with a glamorous baby shower surrounded by her closest friends and family.
The star, 37, invited new to her celebrations at Birmingham’s Nuvo restaurant, where her guests sipped pink champagne and tucked into delicious Japanese canapés. Danielle’s best friend and make-up artist, Danielle B, helped organise the day, making sure there were plenty of pink decorations and baby-themed party games. Later in the afternoon, Danielle joined her pals on the dance floor.
“My feet were killing, so my friend Aaron walked to a hotel over the road and asked if I could have a pair of their slippers,” she jokes. “I ended up on the dance floor in a pair of slippers!”
And while Danielle’s husband Michael O’Neill, 35, their son Ronnie, four, and her sons Archie, 11, Harry, 10, and George, eight, from her previous marriage didn’t attend the shower, it doesn’t mean they’re any less excited for the new arrival.
“They can’t wait. Ronnie keeps asking me when the baby is coming out. He kisses my belly and is super cute,” she tells us as we catch up over the phone following her party.
Danielle also explains that she’s had an emotional week as her beloved dog Fendi has just given birth to two puppies.
Here, the expectant mum talks us through her bash, how she’s feeling after a busy week, and why she’s counting down the days until her baby girl’s arrival…
