Having such a turbulent love life during her years of wild partying, a fairy-tale ending seemed unlikely for Paris Hilton – but she is now looking forward to tying the knot with her actor fiancé Carter Reum and living happily ever after.
And despite growing up dreaming of a grand do, the star of The Simple Life, who is 40 next month, admits she will be having a “small and intimate” ceremony.
While the pandemic is one reason for scaling down her plans, it’s clear her excitement at marrying Carter and just wanting to get on with it outweighs any desire to arrange a huge bash.
“He makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world every day,” she tells us. “I didn’t realise it was possible to feel this happy.”
Paris, long known for her ditsy persona, caused quite a stir late last year when her documentary This Is Paris showed the world a very different side to the original queen of the paparazzi, revealing a more vulnerable and shy woman.
In the candid show, she also opened up about the physical, verbal and mental abuse she claims she suffered while staying at the Provo Canyon School as a “troubled teen”. Last October, Paris even went on a protest march with fellow victims as part of her mission to get the treatment centre in Utah closed.
Here, she opens up about being in love, her post-pandemic plans and using her trauma to help other victims of abuse…
