After their love story began on Strictly Come Dancing over three years ago, Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Márquez delighted fans once more when they announced their recent engagement.
Professional dancer Gorka, 30, popped the question to actress Gemma, 36, on Valentine’s Day, with the couple sharing the happy news in sweet Instagram posts.
Showing off her diamond ring in a loved-up snap, Gemma wrote, “Valentine’s forever... Of course I said yes.” Sharing the same picture, Gorka added, “The best day with my forever Valentine. I asked and she said YES!!!!!!”
Gorka also shared an intimate video to show the sweet moment before he got down on one knee. In the clip, Gemma is seen wrapped up in a coat as the couple enjoyed a walk with their two dogs Ollie and Norman. He wrote alongside the post, “She was so unaware of what I had planned.”
Many of Gemma and Gorka’s famous friends took to Instagram to congratulate the pair.
