FUNNYMAN MICHAEL McINTYRE IS IN A SPIN ABOUT HIS BRAND NEW BBC ONE GAME SHOW THE WHEEL

What do you get when you put together three contestants, a whole host of celebrities and a giant spinning wheel? The answer is Michael McIntyre’s new BBC One Saturday night game show, The Wheel.

Contestants will compete to win big money by answering a series of questions, but they will also have celebrity experts – think Carol Vorderman on numbers, Gemma Collins on Essex and Gregg Wallace on food – to assist them, who are on a giant spinning wheel too. The spins of the wheels will determine which contestant is picked and who will assist them, with the expert in that category carrying the biggest amount for the prize fund.

“What’s surprised me is how much suspense and camaraderie is built throughout the show,” says Michael, 44. “You almost become like a family in playing the game.”
