The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 40th birthday by announcing a new initiative to help women via a short comedy film with Hollywood star Melissa McCarthy.
In her first public appearance since giving birth to daughter Lilibet two months ago, the video, shared on the Archewell website, shows Meghan looking relaxed and happy as she giggles with the Bridesmaids star.
It’s clear the former Suits actress still has strong roots in Hollywood, as she calls on her famous pal to help launch the 40x40 campaign encouraging women to mentor others in their community. Although she tellingly laughs off suggestions of a Suits reunion in the clip.
Announcing her new initiative, Meghan talks about helping women get back to work after the pandemic.
“Because I’m turning 40 I’m asking 40 friends to donate 40 minutes of their time to help mentor a woman who’s mobilising back into the workforce,” she says.
