Julia Roberts At War With Her Neighbours!

AMERICA’S sweetheart Julia Roberts is a Pretty Woman to millions but has a rep as a ‘snooty b****’ among locals at her country hideaway!

FOR more than 20 years, Julia has spent the majority of her time living on her ranch in New Mexico, away from the Hollywood flashbulbs and selfie-mad fans.

The mom of three, who prefers to fly under the radar, fell in love with the mountain town of Taos in 1995 and she has since purchased 32-acres of land in the area with her husband, Danny Moder. 

Julia, who also has properties in Malibu and Hawaii, has described her Taos home as ‘the harbour of her life’. But Dickie Cordova, who helps to run Abe’s Bar and Kitchen just around the corner from Julia’s place, said she’s been known to be ‘snooty’, and stays away from a lot of the local watering holes and restaurants. He says, “Julia doesn’t come out around here. She doesn’t seem to be very nice. She’s been in the bar once the entire time she’s lived here. She just squeezed in to get a drink [at the bar] and then sat back down. People have talked about a restaurant she went to. She actually asked the establishment to close down the dining area so she could eat in peace. A little girl also asked her for an autograph and she told her no because she’d have to do autographs for everyone. If people like that want to be snooty, then fine.” 

Dickie went on to say, “We still respect her, but we would like to know we’re respected in the same way.

We want to be able to say, ‘She’s our buddy, she’s not a movie star, she’s not a celebrity’, but I don’t think she can come out of that shell. It’s her choice.”
