GH telegraphed a December to remember with an adrenalized and emotional week that took the already high stakes of the baby switch to a dangerous new level.

The action began to unfold on a stretch of road where Kendra was busily executing her revenge on “murderous bitch” Alexis, who she wrongly believed had deliberately killed her brother, Kiefer. She drugged her target into motionlessness, then positioned her on the ground and prepared to run her over in a macabre homage to Kiefer’s demise.

Opposite this, Lucas and Brad were speeding along in their own car, in the midst of a charged argument about the state of their marriage, which was in tatters due to the secrets Lucas knew his spouse was keeping. Indignant and hurt, Lucas implored Brad to come clean — and some 15 months after a shell-shocked Brad took Nelle’s newborn son into his arms, he finally snapped, blurting out that Wiley was not the baby they had originally adopted (“He’s Michael and Nelle’s son!”). Lucas barely had time to register a reaction before he tried to hit the brakes and discovered they weren’t working (“The car won’t stop!”). They plowed into Kendra’s vehicle, thwarting Alexis’s murder.
