B&B’s Sheila Blows The Lid Off Ridge And Quinn's Affair

It doesn’t take long for Sheila to sense that something more is going on between Ridge and Quinn than meets the eye. “If you look back at Sheila’s history, she has always been more observant of people than they are of themselves,” points out portrayer Kimberlin Brown. “Sheila came back to town to make amends because she still cares for Eric, and she truly believes that it’s because of him and the kindness he has shown her that she’s turning her life around. She wants to be the kind of person he would consider a friend, so when Sheila sees the tension going on, she instinctually wonders what it’s about. What better opportunity for Sheila to show Eric how she really has changed and how she really does have his best interest at heart than by bringing this to his attention, regardless of how painful that best interest may be? It’s ironic that, in fact, the only person who is telling Eric the truth right now just happens to be Sheila.”

So, Sheila drops the bomb shell on Eric that she thinks his wife and son are hooking up. Naturally, Eric is reluctant to believe Sheila’s shocking story. “Yes, she is a very observant girl, that Sheila,” notes John McCook (Eric). “She has seen things with Ridge and Quinn that obviously Eric has not, and she explains how she has done a little investigating on her own and she is convinced that these two are having an affair. So, when she comes to the house and says this to Eric, his immediate response is, ‘Sheila, you have no business talking like this to me. This is outrageous that you would come in here, after all these years, and insult me and my wife and my son with this kind of smarmy accusation.’ ”
