Richard Snubs Julia!

THEY were a vision of love.

On Feb. 20, following a romantic lunch at La Colombe d’Or, Richard Gere and his newly minted fiancée, Alejandra Silva,  couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they strolled the streets of Saint Paul de Vence, France, popping into local shops and grinning like giddy teenagers.

But there’s one person who definitely isn’t smiling: Julia Roberts! After months of secret rendezvous around L.A., Julia, 50, is stunned and shocked that her Pretty Woman costar, 68, went crawling back to his girlfriend of nearly two years, 35-year- old Alejandra — and, even worse, popped the question! “Julia and Richard are undeniably drawn to each other and always have been,” a source tells Star, adding that for years, the timing between them just wasn’t right. Julia hoped that would change when they started getting close again, but the massive rock Alejandra has been sporting is forcing Julia to confront a harsh reality: Richard wants to spend his life with someone else.
