News that Christian megachurch Hillsong had fired high-profile pastor Carl Lentz for “moral failures” and his subsequent admission that he had cheated on his wife Laura shook the congregation.

Famous followers and close friends Justin and Hailey Bieber have been particularly affected by the scandal. “They were both extremely shocked and disappointed when Carl’s confession came out,” a source told UK’s The Sun, adding Hailey “quickly became furious” while Justin was “sympathetic to the man who had helped him so much”.
