It’s hard to believe that as I write this the temperature is hovering somewhere in the mid-90's with steamy humidity to accompany it.
Yet by the time you read these words autumn will be upon us and we will be thinking of sweaters, pumpkins and the holidays.
Just like our wardrobe changes with the seasons, so does wine. There is a tendency to consume lighter wines in the summer and heavier wines as the temperature starts to drop. Heavy Cabernet Sauvignons and Barolos get traded out for Pinot Noir and Rose wines in the spring. Yet these days many wines can transition to cooler days.
