A Sanctuary For Animals In Need

Land O’ Lakes Rescue Petting Farm offers help for sick and injured animals—and puts smiles on kids’ faces, too!

I wanted to tell you about a special person who my husband and I met several years ago while on vacation. His name is Barry Smith and he is the driving force behind the Land O’ Lakes Rescue Petting Farm.

Barry and his wife Donna started the farm because they saw a need to help injured and sick animals. They have also been foster parents for many years, and helping out on the farm has been very beneficial to their foster children, as well as the animals. Some of the children who visit the farm have special needs, and the animals have been good therapy for them, too.
