Situated on the edge of Chailey Common, Holford Manor is a real plantsman’s garden. It will give visitors a treat with not only wonderful garden areas, but also a range of animals that share the property with owners Martyn Price and Jeff Armstrong. Their five-acre garden consists of different areas, from tropical beds to a formal parterre rose garden. There are extensive herbaceous borders, far reaching vistas over a ha-ha to open fields with rare breed sheep, geese, guinea fowl and chickens, a large kitchen garden, fruit cage, greenhouse and cutting garden billowing with a jostle of colour. The garden rooms include a secret Chinese garden and an ornamental pond framed by low hedging.
