He's Part Of The Union

My weekends are very precious to me. During the week I run Wayside Holiday Park at Wrelton, near Pickering, where our residents and visitors are making the most of their leisure time, so I feel it’s my turn on Saturdays and Sundays. Don’t get me wrong, I love running our family business but I am a great believer in a work-life balance and the importance of recharging one’s mental and physical batteries. That’s what my weekends are for.

I am not one for lie-ins – my body clock doesn’t work that way. So, it’s an early start on Saturdays with a good breakfast and the morning papers, usually the Daily Telegraph, whose sporting coverage of my twin passions – rugby union and cricket – is unrivalled.
