The Best Way Out For You To Get That Dream Job

From high school to job, the one popular term which becomes a part of a student’s life and decisions is Placement. It has always been a buzz word, and most of the time, anyone who undergoes college education tends to go through this tradition.

What began as an opportunity: a platform where skilled human resources and relevant industries could meet; has now become an obligation with talk of the town being ‘best packages’, ‘top companies, ‘excellent résumé etc.

Almost every institute tries to rope in companies and train their students to clear the placements. Although the number of colleges in India are sufficient enough to generate graduates for the entire country, the number of graduates getting a job is hardly 10 percent of the total. Ironically, the demand for qualified professionals has also never gone down either. So, the question is, what happens to the rest 90 percent?

Let’s find out

There will be two categories of students broadly: (a) these people will have their own list of companies to work in and won’t compromise for anything less and (b) another group of people are those who will have an open choice and will be ready to get placed in any company the campus offers.

The first category students usually have prior knowledge regarding their companies of choice and train themselves to pass through, no matter what. The latter group has a plethora of choices and tends to feel they have a lot of opportunities, but they might fall under the 90 percent if they don’t have specific preparation for every company they approach. Regardless of the category, there are a few basic guidelines which will help approach placements in the right way.
