In order to meditate, you need to feel at home - totally relaxed. We need to be in an informal atmosphere because a formal atmosphere or a formal setting is not congenial for meditation.
Many of the pleasantries that we exchange in our day-to-day life are mere formalities; like, when you get off the plane the air hostess wishes you a nice day, is there any real meaning to it? I don’t mean any offence to them, but it is not something that is coming from the depth of their hearts. It does not carry the same feeling that a birthday wish coming from your mother or grandmother carries.
When you feel the connection, your words get some power. We convey more through our vibes than through our words. If you have a puppy at home, when you come back from work, the puppy goes crazy! It jumps all over you, expressing its love, doesn’t it? We convey a lot through our vibes. I am sure you can all make out, when a person’s smile is not really coming from the depth of his or her heart. You know that it is just a formality.
Similarly, when your life takes on this level of formal relationships with everybody around you, sooner or later, you go into depression. There is dryness in life.
Meditation is the remedy to lift you up from the monotonous life that we all lead - a life without any juice, a life without values, a life without connectivity to the people around us. Meditation can reverse this. We need intuition and innovation in whichever field we are working in. Meditation can enhance both. Meditation can bring the energy back into our lives!
