After the loss of their son in a gruesome hijacking, the Morris family have new joy and a new baby
THEY feel the loss of their son every single day. But now for the first time since his death they feel a semblance of peace, too.
That’s because Chantel and Elwin Morris have a new life to focus on. “God has blessed us with another son,” says Chantel (39) as she beams at four-month old Braylin. Dad Elwin (37) and sister Erin (10) also have huge smiles and can’t resist planting kisses on the little one’s head.
Chantel and Elwin always wanted a pigeon pair and felt their family was complete when their son Taegrin was born. But in July 2014 the four-year-old was taken from them in a horrific criminal act that shocked the country.
Chantel was leaving her grandmother’s house in Reiger Park, Gauteng. Erin was in the backseat of the car and Chantel was securing Taegrin’s seatbelt when three men approached and told her to get out.
