Minnie Dlamini is a fixture in the papers and on social media – but recently, it’s been for all the wrong reasons.

SHE’S SA’s queen of social media, but lately it seems that TV personality and actress Minnie Dla­ mini isn’t in every­ one’s good books.

It came as no sur­prise to her male fans when she became the first local celeb to reach 1 million followers on Instagram, were she gets them hot under the collar every time she posts a picture, flaunting her curves and flashing her big brown eyes.

But although she knows how to se­ duce the camera, rumours have it that her recent antics have been anything but charming.

AFTER Minnie’s four years on SABC1’s Soccer Zone, many were shocked when she ab­ruptly submitted her resign­ation by e­mail.

She put out a statement saying it was time for her to move on and focus on other things. She made all the right comments – she’d loved her time there and she’d miss her colleagues, but she needed to grow and explore other opportunities.

All well and good, until the dirt began to fly. Now people are claiming that Minnie’s diva behaviour is to blame for her departure from the show. Some are saying she left because she was refused a higher salary.

DRUM spoke to two independent sources in search of the real reasons for her move.

“She left the show because she was disgruntled with the producers,” one SABC staff member tells us. “She wanted more money, but they wouldn’t budge. She decided to leave the show because it was no longer worth it for her, because she felt undermined.”

The source adds that the TV personality had been trying to negotiate an increase for months.
