The explosive remarks come on the heels of an extraordinary segment aired on HBO’s “Last Week Tonight.” Host John Oliver flogged the FOX News firebrand turned floundering NBC host for a long history of racial insensitivity — as well as providing a high-profile platform for anti-gay bigots to spew their vile rage.

In the two-minute clip, Oliver showed Megyn, 46, repeatedly labeling African-American men as “thugs,” angrily criticizing the “war on the religious right” and interviewing Tony Perkins, the homophobic Family Research Council head right” and interviewing Tony Perkins, the homophobic Family Research Council head.

Perkins has appeared on Megyn’s shows 30-plus times — one of which saw Megyn state: “Gay rights are more and more protected in this country. Christian beliefs and Christian rights, not so much.”
