Who will live and die as Les Misérables reaches its action-packed finale?
After six weeks of tears, angst and definitely no singing, the BBC’s hit adaptation of Les Misérables reaches its breathtaking conclusion.
Viewers will finally see Inspector Javert come face to face with his nemesis, escaped convict Jean Valjean, but the encounter promises a surprising twist. Javert is taken aback as Valjean squanders a chance to take revenge and instead decides to show his enemy kindness.
‘Javert has been on such a morally righteous path up until this point, and then he sees something in the person he has been chasing that triggers complex emotions in him,’ explains David Oyelowo, who plays the bitter inspector with a drastic choice to make in this final episode.
