Former cricketer Kevin Pietersen tackles the menace of rhino poaching.
Kevin Pietersen may have made his name as a brilliant England cricketer, but the South African-born star has never forgotten his roots.
The 38-year-old is a passionate conservationist and has been busy highlighting the problem of rhino poaching in his home country.
Now, Pietersen brings his campaign to save the rhino to TV in a new two-part documentary following him to Kruger National Park where he meets people protecting rhinos and caring for orphaned calves.
‘The situation is critical,’ says Pietersen. ‘By 2025, if nothing is done, we won’t have any rhinos. Seeing a dead rhino is shocking – you never become desensitised to how horrific that is.’
