It’s almost 16 years since the last episode of Friends aired, but a new generation of fans have discovered the US sitcom on Netflix – while recent rumours of a reunion have sent the internet into meltdown.
It’s still not certain whether the cast will get back together, but in the meantime, there’s a double treat for viewers this week when David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc (see panel, right) return to our screens in new shows.
Famous all over the world for playing lovably goofy paleontologist Ross Geller, Schwimmer swaps New York for Cheltenham this week in Intelligence, a new Sky One comedy set in Britain’s security organization GCHQ.
TRANSATLANTIC POSTING
The 53-year-old plays Jerry, an intelligence expert from the American National Security Agency, who is sent to the UK to help his British counterparts fight cybercrime. However, his brash demeanor soon ruffles the feathers of his new colleagues.
