NEW COMEDY

Dial M for Middlesbrough

Saturday, Gold HD, 9.15pm

After unmasking serial killers on a murderous trip to Blackpool and a homicidal cruise on the Tyne, coach driver Terry (Johnny Vegas) and tour guide Gemma (Sian Gibson) are on the trail of another assassin in Gold’s hilarious whodunnit sequel Dial M for Middlesbrough.

The comedy sees now engaged Terry and Gemma on their way to pick up regular clients Mildred (Sheila Reid) and Hilda (Georgie Glen) to take them to a funeral in Middlesbrough. But when the coach breaks down, they stop at the dilapidated Shady Creek caravan park, where, sure enough, another deranged killer is on the loose. As Gemma and Terry investigate, they come across a host of suspicious characters, including Shady Creek’s owners Jed (Phil Davis) and Evie (Sally Lindsay), permanent resident Edna (Annette Crosbie), oddball cook Susan (Joanna Page) and slimy events manager Darren (Jason Donovan).

Here, Vegas, 48, and Gibson, 43, tell us more…

What happens at the Shady Creek caravan park?
