You’ve never met a child quite like Hilde Lisko. Not only does the nine-year-old write and self-publish her own newspaper, she snoops around crime scenes and investigates murders…
That might sound unlikely, but the intrepid young protagonist of 10-part mystery drama Home Before Dark is actually based on real-life child journalist Hilde Lysiak, whose reporting on a murder went viral in 2016.
The crime drama opens with Hilde (played by Brooklynn Prince, star of critically acclaimed film The Florida Project) and her family leaving their New York apartment and moving to her father’s picturesque home town of Erie Harbor, USA.
