Sharon Osbourne on finding out that her strength and determination run in the family.
GENEALOGY
Who Do You Think You Are? Wed, BBC1 HD, 9pm (NI, 10.40pm)
Sharon Osbourne is famously made of pretty strong stuff. Despite numerous family crises and battles with ill health alongside rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne and their three children, the 66-year-old former judge on The X Factor has never lost her fighting spirit.
And, as she looks into her roots in this week’s Who Do You Think You Are?, she realises that her ability to triumph over adversity is a family trait when she discovers the traumatic times that both her maternal grandmother, Dolly, and greatgrandmother, Annie, overcame.
‘They suffered terribly,’ she says. ‘But they didn’t give up. And I don’t. I must have inherited that.’
Here, she reveals what she found out about her two amazing ancestors.
