Joe Cole gets embroiled in espionage in ITV’s take on the classic thriller

Here’s an early look at ITV’s atmospheric new adaptation of Len Deighton’s acclaimed spy novel The Ipcress File, which is currently being filmed in Liverpool and Croatia.

The six-part drama is set in the 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, as tensions between the East and West reach boiling point. It sees Peaky Blinders’ Joe Cole head the cast as Harry Palmer, the role played by Sir Michael Caine in the 1965 film version.
