What goes on in babies’ minds? A new series investigates early years development.

It’s thought that our earliest experiences have the greatest impact on our adult personalities, but discovering what actually happens in a baby’s mind is – unsurprisingly – hard to research.

In the new series Babies: Their Wonderful World, a team of experts try to answer questions about how babies acquire language and fine motor skills, whether they can control their emotions, how they learn altruism and more.

We caught up with developmental paediatrician Dr Guddi Singh, who presents the series, to gain an insight into those crucial first two years of life…
