The second series of this deliciously soapy, Regency-era drama debuted recently, after the first run in December 2020 smashed Netflix records and made break-out stars of Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor as starcrossed lovers the Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton. While RegéJean's smouldering presence is definitely missed in the second outing, Jonathan Bailey copes admirably as dashing Anthony, the next Bridgerton sibling looking to get hitched. With a fizzing love triangle between Anthony and the wealthy Sharma sisters (Charithra Chandran and Simone Ashley), ridiculously lavish costumes and a killer modern soundtrack, this is the ultimate not-so-guilty-pleasure binge.

2 THE MARVELOUS MRS MAISEL

Prime Video Seasons: 4 Episodes: 34 This Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning series set in the late 1950s and early 1960s, stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam ‘Midge' Maisel, a Jewish New York City housewife with a talent for stand-up comedy. The recent fourth series finds her struggling to reboot her career after being fired by headline act Shy Baldwin. With the final (sob!) run currently filming, now's the time to get up to speed with the Maisel magic.
